The Government of Ontario funds the Ontario Age-Friendly Communities (AFC) Outreach Program through the Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility. The AFC Outreach Program is managed by the Centre for Studies in Aging and Health in partnership with Queen’s University.

A New e-Learning Resource on Age-Friendly Communities

The Ontario Age-Friendly Communities Outreach Program is pleased to announce the launch of a new online learning course on age-friendly communities: “Modules to Support Planning, Implementation, Evaluation and Sustainability”.

In this free course, participants will explore the concept of age-friendly communities and the four-step planning cycle. Whether you are looking for information on how to start an Age-Friendly Community Initiative (AFCI) or are looking for strategies to sustain your existing AFCI, this course will provide information to support age-friendly communities at all stages of development.

The course consists of six modules that can be completed at your own pace. After each module, participants will receive a certificate of completion.
