A Review of Clinical Effectiveness, Cost Effectiveness, and Guidelines of High Dose Influenza Vaccine for Adults
DESCRIPTION
This review evaluated the comparative clinical evidence of high-dose influenza vaccination compared with standard-dose (and double-dose) influenza vaccine or placebo. Additionally, the comparative cost effectiveness and evidence-based guidelines were analyzed to facilitate and support decision making with regards to high-dose influenza vaccine. The review focused on the following three research questions:
- What is the clinical effectiveness of high dose influenza vaccine in older adults or adults
who are immunocompromised? - What is the cost-effectiveness of high dose influenza vaccine in older adults or adults
who are immunocompromised? - What are the evidence-based guidelines associated with the use of high dose influenza
vaccine in older adults or adults who are immunocompromised?
