A Wish to Die: Depression, MAID and the Older Adult

This GeMH 2 part learning activity is a free unique activity that pairs an online, self-directed learning module with a follow-up live webinar, where experts answer your questions. The online learning module will be available for completion starting mid-February.  On Feb. 28th, there will be two live webinars available to choose from: 10-11 ET and 11:30-12:30 ET. Learning objectives:
At the end of this module, participants will be able to:
1) Discuss how to respond when an older adult expresses a wish to die
2) Describe a clinical approach to an older adult with depression
3) Identify key elements of MAID
4) Reflect on how MAID and its pathways are relevant to your work with older adults

On February 28, 2018, there will be two live webinars available to choose from: 10:00 – 11:00 ET and, 11:30 – 12:30 ET. Drs. Daphna Grossman and Giulia Perri, specialists in Palliative Care, and Dr. Cindy Grief, Geriatric Psychiatrist will be available at the webinar to discuss questions arising from the online module and facilitate conversation between participants.

After you have participated in both parts of the educational activity (online module and live webinar) and completed an evaluation, you will receive a certificate of completion.
