CSAH Core Team Members

The Centre for Studies in Aging and Health has an inter-professional team with expertise in aging and health, collaborative health care practice, program planning and evaluation, adult education and training, quality improvement, knowledge translation and exchange, and information technology. Core team members are listed below.
Dr. Julie Petrin: Research Coordinator

Dr. Julie Petrin: Research Coordinator

Dr. Julie Petrin is the Research Coordinator within the CSAH. She holds a doctoral degree in rehabilitation sciences and has expertise in implementation research, access to healthcare, partnering and advocating for vulnerable populations. She assists in the evaluation of programs and services and coordinates specific research efforts within the center.

Dr. John Puxty: Director

Dr. John Puxty is a Geriatrician, Associate Professor and Chair of the Division of Geriatric Medicine at Queen’s University, Director of the Centre for Studies in Aging and Health and Southeastern Ontario Regional Geriatric Program and Chair of the Seniors Health Knowledge Network and Ontario Interdisciplinary Council for Aging and Health.

Lisa Brancaccio: Knowledge Broker

Lisa Brancaccio: Knowledge Broker

Lisa’s main portfolio is the Ontario Age-Friendly Communities Outreach Program where she supports a network of over 70 age-friendly communities and aligned stakeholders from across the province that are currently planning, implementing and/or evaluating their local age-friendly strategies. Through this work, Lisa and the Outreach Program Team apply a mixed-methods research approach to examine the environmental conditions, policy contexts and underlying socioeconomic characteristics that promote or impede healthy aging at local and provincial levels.

Sarah Webster: Manager

Sarah Webster: Manager

Sarah holds a master’s degree in health studies and has extensive experience facilitating evidence-informed action to improve the health and wellbeing of older adults. As Manager, Sarah coordinates resources (people, products and funds), develops partnerships, and manages the day-to-day functioning and activities of the CSAH team.

Sarah Linders is the Digital Content Assistant with experience in strategic communications, website management, livestream event management, and information technology. She assists the Information Systems & Web Development Coordinator in delivering high quality online learning tools and resources.

Phileen Dickinson: Web Projects & Instructional Design Lead

Phileen Dickinson: Web Projects & Instructional Design Lead

A Programmer Analyst, Web and Graphic Designer with experience in Instructional Design,  Phileen takes a leadership role in developing and maintaining the technology behind CSAH’s web-based platforms including design and implementation of e-learning strategies and resources.
