Age-Friendly Program Description
The AFC work is led by a community based organization/network. Arnprior is working with Arnprior Regional Health on a Seniors Active Living Centre, programming for seniors to stay active and involved in the community and transportation issues. The community is also working on an Age-Friendly/Dementia Friendly Business Initiative this year.

Social Participation
- Senior Silver Stick Curling Program
- Men’s Shed (A space for men to get together for activities like woodworking projects, cooking, bike repairs, music etc. The group is working on accessible picnic tables)
Respect & Social Inclusion
- “Anti-Ageism Program” (Working with Arnprior District High School where several seniors were invited to participate in a video-taped interview by Grade 10 students to record their stories)
- Age-Friendly Business Initiative (Investigating partnership with Arnprior Chamber of Commerce and Ontrac)
- Advocacy (Advocated for new long-term care beds and Seniors Active Living Centre; Supported MTO Community Transportation Grant application & Elder Abuse Program)
