North Bay, City of
Age-Friendly Program Description
The City of North Bay is proposing to undertake the development of a local Age-Friendly Community Plan that will support the creation of physical and social environments that facilitate independent and active lifestyles for all North Bay residents. The City is proposing to undertake a project which follows the Age-Friendly Communities Process outlined in “Finding the Right Fit: Age-Friendly Community Planning” in order to develop this Plan. Funding from the Age-Friendly Community Planning Grant will be used to support the establishment of the Age-Friendly North Bay Steering Committee who will be tasked with defining local vision and values, identifying needs within the community and developing an Action Plan. The North Bay Age Friendly Plan will then be implemented by the City to support project development and decision making that considers the World Health Organization’s eight dimensions that describe an age-friendly community.
