2SLGBTQI+ seniors navigate complex challenges as they age, including discriminatory policies in care settings, social isolation due to familial rejection or loss of chosen family, and providers who lack the knowledge necessary to deliver affirming support. To address these gaps, the City of Toronto Seniors Services and Long-Term Care (SSLTC) revitalized a training Tool Kit called Leading & Learning with Pride.

Walkability and pedestrian safety in winter have been a priority of the Council on Aging of Ottawa (COA) since 2016. In 2019, we focused on winter walking through the Snow Mole campaign and piloted the use of an online tool to collect the data in addition to paper-based audit tools.
