Age-Friendly Program Description
The AFC work is led by a community based organization/network. The committee is continuing with implementation. Focus areas include Outdoor Spaces and Public Buildings (ongoing); Transportation; Social Participation; Respect and Social Inclusion; Communication and Information.

- Information/Skill Building Workshops for Seniors in Fenelon Falls (Partner with FF Seniors Club to provide a series of workshops, highlighting various topics of interest to seniors to help them achieve a more active and engaged lifestyle)
Respect & Social Inclusion
- Age-Friendly Business Engagement Strategy (Funded through NHSP) (lead)
Communication & Information
- Omemee Unites Community Coalition (AF Omemee spearheaded group jointly with Omemee Legion) (co-lead)
- Print Newsletters (A local newsletter is produced quarterly that includes a calendar of events and additional articles of interest to the community, and age-friendly column. Sustainability achieved as ongoing activities have been taken over by community volunteers; AF involvement now minimal)
