Profile

Current Activity

I work on understanding the social psychological conditions that facilitate healthy aging through physical activity. I am especially interested in what motivates aging individuals to do physical activity, and the benefits they draw from such activity. I also examine how aging individuals attribute their lapses or failures to do physical activity to age-related reasons. I examine adult learning principles involved in the effective instruction and coaching of sport and physical activity participants, which has implications for leadership policy and training of personnel.
