The Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands completed their Age Friendly Community Plan in 2016. They are currently in the Implementation stage of the planning process.
The AFC work is led by a municipal committee of council and supported by the Economic Development Corporation staff, who do the organizing of meetings and activities. The Municipal Age-Friendly Wawa Committee meets quarterly.

Currently, AFC Temiskaming Shores & Area is in the Evaluation and Implementation phase.
The City of Greater Sudbury is currently continuing its work towards an age friendly community. On July 9th, 2018, the latest update on work being done was presented to Council, which was very supportive of working being done to date.
The St.-Charles Age-Friendly Advisory committee members includes representation from health services, senior support organizations, senior social club services, municipal council and public at large.
