Drawing from provincial findings, Sarah Webster will discuss both positive and negative impacts of the pandemic and how local initiatives have adapted. She will conclude her presentation with the launch of a new resource: Planning a Virtual Conference: A Practical Guide. This resource covers the strategic and technical aspects of executing a virtual event, and includes key considerations and prompts about how to tailor any virtual event to align with the goals and capacity of your team.

 

Presenter Bio

Sarah Webster 
Manager at the Centre for Studies in Aging and Health

 

Sarah is Manager of the Centre for Studies in Aging and Health at Providence Care. She is co-Chair of Specialized Geriatric Service East Committee and the Ontario Collaborative for Aging Well. Sarah holds a Master of Health Studies and an hon. B.A. in Gerontology and Psychology. Sarah has extensive experience in the field of knowledge translation and exchange and has a long history of helping people access information, connect to each other and strengthen their work. This includes work developing the Ontario Age-Friendly Communities Outreach Program, Niagara Connects, Behavioural Supports Ontario and Gestalt Collective. Sarah has a primary interest in aging, age-friendly communities, as well as knowledge translation and exchange. She is passionate about building relationships, seeing the big picture, and helping people connect to and understand the information that matters to them.
