Conference – EPIC Conference 2021: Financial Wellness & Employment

Description: The “Financial Wellness & Employment” Challenge Area focuses on using technology to support caregivers as they age and while providing care to a loved one to remain in the workforce and be accommodated, in order to contribute to their financial well-being.

Through extensive public consultation, AGE-WELL has identified 8 Challenge Areas – difficult and complex problem areas – that demand innovation and deployment of real-world solutions. The EPIC Conference (2021) is an opportunity for AGE-WELL students, postdoctoral fellows, research staff and ECRs to share their research, highlight their potential impact, and connect with colleagues.

The month-long virtual conference will comprise of 8 virtual sessions, each dedicated to one of the identified challenge areas. Each session will involve 2 streams of presentations – a traditional oral presentation and a Twitter conference presentation. Additional planned sessions  include Workshop Wednesdays, where we will host professional development workshops and panels, and a number of trainee-hosted social events.
