EAPO Provincial Conference: Reporting Elder Abuse

EAPO hosts its 3rd in a Series of Provincial Conferences focused on Reporting Elder Abuse in Ontario.
The Conference will be held on November 2nd from 10am – 4pm to address on Ethical and Legal Responsibilities: Reporting Elder Abuse.
On this day, we continue the conversation about ending the abuse of older persons , specifically dealing with the issues around reporting!
Reporting suspected cases of elder abuse is essential to protecting all older persons in our community, yet many community members, families, seniors, and service providers are unaware of their obligations to report or what happens once an incident is reported to authorities.
EAPO brings together leading experts from Ontario, to share their knowledge through case studies and then engage in discussions with delegates. Their stories will help everyone understand how authorities/organizations respond to reports of elder abuse. Being informed will help ensure that proper measures are taken to keep older persons safe from harm.
Audience: Community and health care providers, justice services, Retirement Homes, Long-term Care homes, academics, older adults, families and caregivers.
