Target Audience: specialist physicians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, residents & medical students, nurses, and other health care professionals providing care to older adults.

PRESENTER
Dr. James MacKillop, PhD, CPsych, FCAHS

Dr. James MacKillop holds the Peter Boris Chair in Addictions Research and a Canada Research Chair in Translational Addiction Research at McMaster University and St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. There, he directs both the Peter Boris Centre for Addictions Research and the Michael G. DeGroote Centre for Medicinal Cannabis Research, investigating diverse aspects of human psychopharmacology. Dr. MacKillop’s research program has generated more than 350 peer-reviewed publications and other works, and has been continuously funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and National Institutes of Health for nearly two decades. His work has been recognized by awards from the Society for Addiction Psychology, the Research Society on Alcoholism, the American Psychological Association, and the Royal-Mach-Gaensslen Prize for Mental Health Research.
