Webinar – The Cognitive Kitchen: A Culinary Health Intervention for Dementia Risk Reduction and Living Well with Dementia

In this webinar Dr. Cammer will describe a co-designed intervention, The Cognitive Kitchen, that incorporates principles of food literacy and agency, nutrition risk reduction strategies, and culinary health to promote dementia prevention and living well with dementia. She will discuss the process of co-design, elements of the intervention, and initial research findings.

Allison Cammer, Ph.D, RD

 Dr. Allison Cammer is an Assistant Professor and Registered Dietitian in the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition at the University of Saskatchewan. Her graduate degrees include a Master of Science in Community Health and Epidemiology and a PhD Nutrition. Her research focuses on nutrition and dementia, spanning prevention, living well in the community and long-term care, to end of life nutrition care. She is a member of several interprofessional research teams including the Saskatchewan Rural Dementia Action Research team and team 15 of the Canadian Consortium of Neurodegeneration in Aging. She is a Board Member of the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan and co-chairs the professional conduct committee of the College of Dietitians of Saskatchewan.
