Infections in the Elderly

The author explains some of the factors which make older people more susceptible to skin infections.  A variety of infections are explored including bacterial infections, cellulitis and erysipelas, necrotizing fasciitis, impetigo, folliculitis, furunculosis, rashes of the intertriginous areas, herpes zoster/shingles and onychomycosis.
