Jane McKinnon Wilson has had the opportunity to provide clinical service and leadership in partnership with older adults across the continuum of care including: Adult Day Programs, Acute Care, Palliative Care, Rehabilitation, Chronic Care, Retirement Living, Long Term Care, Mental Health Services and Geriatric Medicine Services. In addition, Jane has taught courses in the field of Geriatrics and Gerontology at the University and College level. She has the privilege of partnering with amazing teams to help ‘pioneer’ and develop system wide improvements that address the ‘voice of the older adult and their family’.
Her role spreads across the Waterloo Wellington region and previously across the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant region during a two year secondment with the Regional Geriatric Program Central. Jane is the Waterloo Wellington Geriatric System Coordinator hosted by the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington and Program Lead for the Waterloo Wellington Waterloo Wellington Older Adult Strategy that aligns with St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph as the System Lead for Specialized Geriatric Services.
