Community Initiatives Coordinator with the City of Brantford
Speaker – Courtney Lebel
Courtney Lebel is a Community Initiatives Coordinator with the City of Brantford, and has been overseeing the Age-Friendly/Healthy Aging Portfolio since July 2022. She has been instrumental in the creation of many programs and initiatives benefitting older adults, including the recent Healthy Aging Passport in Brantford.
Courtney is a member of the Brant Elder Abuse Awareness Committee, the Seniors Safety Group Committee, and GRCOA Communications Committee.
Courtney holds a Bachelor of Arts with a Specialization in Gerontology from Laurentian University. She is also a graduate of the University of Waterloo, where she completed her Bachelor of Social Work. In addition to formal education, Courtney has experience working for and alongside older adults in different capacities such as: Recreation Aide, Caregiver and Alzheimer’s Care Coordinator.
