Profile
Stacey Hawkins is the Director of Research and Evaluation for Seniors Care Network. She is the Program Lead for the Central East Geriatric Emergency Management (GEM) Nurse Program, an Adjunct Professor and part-time PhD student (Health Sciences) at Ontario Tech University, and an Interdisciplinary Fellow with the Canadian Frailty Network. Stacey is an Evaluator and a Gerontologist whose career has focused on the development, implementation, and evaluation of health, community, and social services for older adults with complex and concurrent health issues. This includes frailty, dementia, traumatic spinal cord and brain injury, and vision loss. Stacey participates in regional, provincial, and national research teams, committees, and communities of practice. She has expertise in health systems, interprofessional collaborative practice, teamwork dynamics, dementia care/supports, and continuing professional development of clinicians. Her primary research interests examine how clinicians facilitate shared decision-making and goal-setting with persons with dementia.
