The first talk will describe an innovative project bringing queer youth, queer older adult creative writers, and academics together to create materials used in a series of town hall meetings across British Columbia. The second talk will present the review’s findings and critical analysis of the literature on service navigation and access for older immigrants with dementia and their families.

AFC Webinar – Leading & Learning with Pride: City of Toronto’s Revitalized Tool Kit for Supporting 2SLGBTQI+ Seniors

2SLGBTQI+ seniors navigate complex challenges as they age, including discriminatory policies in care settings, social isolation due to familial rejection or loss of chosen family, and providers who lack the knowledge necessary to deliver affirming support. To address these gaps, the City of Toronto Seniors Services and Long-Term Care (SSLTC) revitalized a training Tool Kit called Leading & Learning with Pride.
