Taryn has worked at The Ottawa Hospital for over 30 years in positions including Nurse Educator in the Emergency Department and a 2-year secondment as Pandemic Planning Coordinator after SARS. 

Since 2015, Taryn has worked as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Community Geriatrics and manages the Geriatric Medicine Clinics. She co-led the development and implementation of the Champlain Falls Assessment and Streamlined Treatment Clinic in 2015, where she continues to provide direct, clinical care. 

Taryn is proud to work with a superb team. Their dedication has been further exemplified throughout the pandemic, while adapting to new protocols and practices, initially almost daily, and providing ongoing care to our vulnerable older adult population.

With a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Master’s of Health Studies, Kaitlin brings an extensive amount of experience in collaborative health care across many community based portfolios. Kaitlin recently celebrated 10 years of employment with Home and Community Care Support Services, having held many titles and supported many portfolios, such as Palliative Care, Medical Assistance in Dying, and Indigenous Health.

Passionate about promoting accessible and equitable services, outside of Behavioural Supports Ontario, Kaitlin is a certified Death Doula and a member of the Board of Directors for the Bethesda House, a secure shelter in Bowmanville supporting those escaping domestic violence and abuse.
